51: Cocktail Hour
Day 18 — ran out of rum AGAIN!
Decided I should Windex the glass shelves in my liquor cabinet (where I keep my rum). Found substantial amounts of the following:
- Malbec
- Vermouth
- Havana Club rum (who knew)
- Crown Royal rye
- Maple flavoured Crown Royal rye
- Champagne
- Tequila
- Vodka
- Drambuie
- Remy Martin Cognac
- Cointreau
- More red wine (I think that's what the Malbec is)
- Rum (my good ol' Mount Gaye)
- Crusted Port
- Jack Daniels
- Zinfandel (this I will never open as my brother made it for me shortly before he died)
I honest to God have no idea where all this stuff came from! Somewhere I have a book called "Mr. Boston 's Official Bartender's and Party Guide". It has 260 pages of amazing drinks and cocktails. Approx. 12 per page! Along with my three lemons, and some orange juice, I currently have the ingredients for 154 mind-numbing delights, indexed by type of booze, name of cocktail, and special occasion suggestions.
I think I'm set for a while. How long is this thing going to last? Will still have to buy more rum though! Happy cocktail hour(s)!
